The Translohr LRV runs on a single central guide rail with "V" shape guide wheels, together with rubber tyres. This is locally called the "Tianjin Modern Guided Rail Tram".
The 46km Tianjin Binhai Mass Transit (BMT) connects the Tanggu new district with Tianjin.
